The Debt Recovery team at Felix Legal brings over 10 years of collective experience in providing high-quality advice and representation. We handle both volume-based debt recovery (where there are multiple debtors) and individual commercial debt claims. For more complex or contested matters, experienced solicitors will be involved to ensure a robust and strategic approach.

Fixed-Fee Service for Undisputed Debts
We offer a fixed-fee service for pursuing uncontested unpaid invoices. Discounts are available for volume instructions. If the debt becomes disputed, our charges will switch to an hourly rate, which we will discuss with you in advance.

Note: If the debtor files a defence, the matter becomes disputed and hourly fees will apply.
Service for Disputed Debts
If a debt becomes disputed, our specialist litigation team will assist. These matters are charged based on the complexity and time required.
Initial fees for review and letter of claim:
£525 – £900 + VAT (subject to case complexity)
After review, we’ll provide a full cost estimate including any likely disbursements (e.g. court fees, expert or barrister fees), all pre-approved by you.
Estimated fees for claims up to £100,000:
Between £10,000 – £30,000 (depending on complexity and trial readiness)

Disbursements & Additional Costs
Disbursements are costs payable to third parties, such as:
- Court fees (no VAT)
- Barristers’ fees (plus VAT)
- Expert witnesses, process servers, bailiffs (may be subject to VAT at 20%)
All third-party fees are subject to your pre-approval.

If the Debt is Disputed
Fixed fees do not apply to disputed debts. Fees will depend on:
- Number of witnesses
- Nature of the defence
- Volume of documentation
- Any counterclaims or related disputes
- Commercial objectives and strategy
